David Cummins Joins Serco Inc. as Senior Vice President of the Transportation Business Unit
RESTON, Va., Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Serco Inc., a provider of professional, technology, and management services to the Federal, State, and Local governments, today announced that David Cummins has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of the Transportation Business Unit. In this position, Cummins will oversee Serco's work in the areas of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), fleet management, aviation and air traffic control, rail, and parking.
Cummins brings to Serco more than 15 years of experience in the areas of transportation and mobility solutions. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Mobility Solutions for Xerox, where he led the Company's strategic growth initiative to create a service line that integrates public and private providers of transportation.
Previously, Cummins managed the Parking and Justice solutions lines of business at Xerox. Prior to that, he led strategy, sales, marketing, and acquisitions for the Transportation division with operations in over 30 countries.
Prior to joining Xerox, David was Director of Operations Planning & Management for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic organizing committee. And in 2003, he was a recipient of the International Project of the Year Award, presented by the Project Management Institute, for his work during the Winter Olympic Games.
