DC Active Singles to Host 'The Art of Love' PaintFest(R) Mixer

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- DC Active Singles will host a charity PaintFest mixer at Scene Gallery, National Harbor, Maryland on February 13 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. as a way to spread some love over Valentine's weekend. More than 100 single professionals from the D.C. metropolitan area will gather to paint a series of pre-drawn and color coded designs on canvas. The completed six-panel mural will be donated to The HSC Pediatric Center in Washington, D.C. to help soften the often stressful hospital experience.

Event participants will meet, mix and mingle with other area singles, listen to the jazz guitar stylings of Charlie Redd and Zen Yui and admire original works of art in the gallery. The admission price of $10 in advance and $20 at the door includes a raffle ticket for prizes valued in excess of $150. The event will take place in National Harbor, the metro area's popular new entertainment district.

The Foundation for Hospital Art created the PaintFest concept as a way for hospitals throughout the world to become beautiful places for healing, and for communities of people to come together to create the artwork that brings comfort and hope to hospital patients.
