One Generation Away, parent organization of LibertyNation.Com, Reveals IRS Persecution
WASHINGTON, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a Washington Times article published today, "Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the IRS owed a variety of conservative groups an apology after years of poor treatment" and settled two class action lawsuit involving some 400 groups.
One Generation Away, the parent organization of LibertyNation.com is among those organizations targeted by the IRS and part of the class action lawsuit filed by the Northern California Tea Party.
In response to the settlement, President and Founder of OneGen, Tim Donner said, "This was a terrifying personal experience that resulted in shameful political persecution of the worst kind. It cost our organization more than one year and more than $30,000 to be reinstated. Many targeted groups who could not afford to defend themselves had their voices silenced. Perhaps that was the idea all along."
OneGen's mission is to restore, strengthen and preserve the vision of a free America by applying America's founding principles to the issues of today. The organization has created and distributed a curriculum on the Federalist Papers, and conducts the Roots of Liberty National Essay Contest for high school students each year. They also own and operate the news and commentary website LibertyNation.com.
