DC Hotels Stay Checked In With Their Housekeepers
WASHINGTON, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Carlyle Suites and Savoy Suites Hotels in Washington, DC have always strived to create a safe environment for their employees while at the same time providing great service to their guests. They will now use one solution to help them to do both!
While recent alleged events in New York hotels have thrust team safety into the headlines, safety and emergency response has always been a universal industry concern. Richard Spigler, President of the Carlyle Suites & Savoy Suites Hotels intends to keep improving upon both, while also positively impacting guest service.
Spigler announced today a partnership with TTI Guardian to install a wireless alarm system throughout the hotels for their housekeepers. Each team member will wear a Wi-Fi badge the same size and shape of typical ID badges. A simple press of the button on the badge will not only send an alert for immediate help but will also pin-point the employee's location. "We recognize that other conditions such as medical emergencies can occur quickly and without warning. This simple pressing of a button will instantly notify additional staff bringing about a quicker response and resolution to the problem." In addition, the badges also provide staff with text messaging capability for faster communication and fulfillment of guest requests. The system is expected to be live next week.
The proven Guardian system has already been successfully used in other industries such as hospitals, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and more but this is its first application in the hotel industry, according to Craig Badrick, CEO of TTI Guardian. "We're excited to be a pioneer in our industry in delivering this technology to boost the safety of our team while also enhancing guest service," says Spigler.
