DENVER, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DCT Industrial Trust Inc.® (NYSE :DCT ), a leading industrial real estate company, today announced it has signed two leases totaling 369,600 square feet for new requirements of an existing customer. The tenant, a subsidiary of the leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines, will expand its current relationship with DCT Industrial with the addition of the buildings located in the Atlanta and Dallas markets.

The tenant signed a 188,600-square-foot lease located in McDonough GA. The company will occupy 100% of the building. The building is a modern, cross-dock bulk distribution facility completed in 1995 and features secured 120-foot truck courts, a 28-foot clear height and an ESFR sprinkler system. The building is centrally located with easy access to Interstate 75 and will be used for storage and distribution. Bob Robers of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the tenant, and Mike Chambers and Brad Pope of NAI Brannen Goddard represented DCT Industrial. Todd Carter was the DCT Industrial point of contact for the lease.
Additionally, DCT Industrial was able to serve the tenant's storage and distribution needs in the Dallas market with a 181,000-square-foot lease. The building, located in Grapevine, TX, is managed by DCT Industrial and owned by its institutional capital management joint venture. The Class A distribution space is located close to DFW International Airport, Interstate 635 and Interstate 35. In addition to being in a prime location, the building features a 30-foot clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system and ample trailer storage. Craig Jones of NAI Robert Lynn represented the tenant and Cannon Green of Stream Realty represented DCT Industrial.
