Debt and equity finance expert Frank Reilly joins Avison Young's New York City office

Reilly joins Avison Young as a Principal to expand company's capital markets practice

NEW YORK CITY, Sept. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Greg Kraut, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's New York City office, announced today that the firm is expanding its New York City-based capital markets group with the hiring of a veteran debt and equity finance professional.

Effective immediately, Frank Reilly joins Avison Young as a Principal. Based in the company's New York City office, Reilly will work closely with Principal David Eyzenberg to grow the firm's debt and equity services platform. Reilly, who has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate investment and finance market, will focus on debt and equity transactions and execution for a diverse array of financings, including: construction loans, permanent loans, mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint ventures.

During his career, Reilly has completed more than $10 billion of debt and equity financings, sales and acquisition transactions for all property types, including shopping centers, office buildings, multi-residential and industrial assets. Reilly is also experienced in the financing, selling and acquisition of single-tenant, net-leased properties on behalf of both individual and large, institutional investors. He has participated in closing transactions for such clients as the Trump Organization, Related Companies, Blumenfeld Development Group, The Winter Organization and Hendon Properties, among many others.

Before joining Avison Young, Reilly was a Principal at NY Urban, a regional mortgage banking firm that provides construction and permanent financing for income-producing properties. He also previously served as a Managing Director of Newmark & Company's capital group, and as National Director of the institutional services group for Marcus & Millichap. Earlier in his career, Reilly served as President of Pearce, Mayer & Greer Realty Corp., after which he joined U.S. Realty Advisors, a privately-held financial services firm specializing in net-lease real estate investment and advisory services.

A former Chairman of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association and an instructor at New York University's Real Estate Institute, Reilly is also a former member of the New York University Real Estate Roundtable and current member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
