Debut Game App Developer Launches Contest for iPhone 6 to Promote First App

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Oliver Galang has entered the mobile app industry with the release of Treasure Match, a casino-type gaming app where players must uncover matching treasure chest values to achieve a high score. Inspired by stories of other independent gaming app creators, Galang decided to put into motion his idea for the new app. Treasure Match emulates the idea of a scratch-off ticket, in that players attempt to uncover matching icons to add their score.

Treasure Match is a true casino type game, giving players the "instant gratification" achieved from slot machines. "I was always intrigued why people played slots. I always thought it was boring because all you have to do is hit a button. With blackjack or card counting, you're always thinking. I decided to mix the two together by presenting what's behind the treasure in half a second, making the players think," says Galang.

Although Galang has years of computer experience, he worked with leading application development company 19Studios to create the app itself. Treasure Match features engaging graphics and sound as well as smooth gameplay. A main focus of the game's creation was timing; players are able to uncover the treasure chests in mere tenths of a second.

Not only can players compete for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, but also they can do it for free and without any in-app purchases. Treasure Match is available on the App Store and Google Play at no cost to download or play.

Instead of the highest accumulated score, the winner is determined by the highest score of the day. This way, players who have just downloaded the app can compete with those who have been playing for months. At the end of the day, the scores will be validated, and the winner will be sent the new iPhone 6.
