On June 4, 2010, Defentect announced the launch of DefenCall, which is the first SmartPhone application that enables a user to broadcast his or her exact GPS location and connect to a call center in the event of an emergency. When the panic button is triggered, text messages, email alerts, phone calls and real-time data feeds to other security systems are all combined into a customized response so trained personnel can take swift and appropriate action.
