Defentect Group, Inc. Launches DefenCall, the First Personal Panic Button Application of Its Kind for SmartPhone Users

NORWALK, Conn., June 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Defentect Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DFTC), a developer and provider of rapid response software solutions for the threat detection industry, announced today the launch of its newest product, DefenCall. The SmartPhone application is the first program that enables a user to broadcast his or her location in the event of an emergency. The information will be sent via Defentect's proprietary DM3™ response software to those that the user specified to take action in such an event. When the panic button is triggered, text messages and email alerts are sent to the user's friends, family or caretakers with reports that a distress message has been received, including the user's exact GPS coordinates. Depending on the user's preferences, the alert will also initiate a phone call to 911, a private security company, or someone else who can provide help.

According to International Data Corporation, a global provider of market intelligence for a variety of technology segments, the worldwide SmartPhone market reached a new record level of 54.5 million units shipped in the fourth quarter of 2009, up 39% from the same quarter of 2008. Vendors shipped a total of 174.2 million units for the full year in 2009. This is just the initial phase in Defentect's multi-faceted approach to exploit existing technology in this and other revenue generating vertical markets.
