The program will initially feature meals from select restaurants for lunch-hour delivery, including Bolt Burgers, Buredo, Capitol Hill Crab Cakes, Cheers at the Big Chair, Mayur Kabab, Merzi, and Tortino.
Leading up to the announcement, delivery.com has added a number of new merchants to its marketplace, including many in some of the District's previously underserved areas. Over the coming months, the DCTC's participation will expand to include more restaurants and on-demand categories — including groceries and laundry — and more drivers delivering outside of lunchtime hours.
For consumers who already know and love the convenience of delivery.com, the only change comes in the form of expanded choice and faster delivery times. Users will continue to place their orders via delivery.com's website or mobile apps, while behind the scenes the participating restaurant prepares their meal, and the closest available DCTC driver is dispatched to fulfill the delivery. A simple integration with delivery.com's API makes the fluid sharing of technology possible between local merchants, the DCTC driver-side app, and delivery.com customers.
