Delta Energy & Communications Announces Michael Gallagher as New Member of its Board of Advisors
Mr. Gallagher brings 25 years of experience in energy and utility businesses to Delta in this advisory role
MURRIETA, Calif., July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Energy & Communications, a network, smart grid, and big data company focused on providing connectivity around the globe, today announced that Michael Gallagher has joined the company's Board of Advisors.
With more than 25 years of experience leading and growing global energy and utility businesses, Mr. Gallagher will provide substantial expertise to elevate Delta's global position as a leader in smart grid energy solutions. He will be assisting with market strategy and account penetration.
Mr. Gallagher is senior vice president in the Sempra Infrastructure Group, overseeing information technology, procurement and natural gas operations. Most recently, he was senior vice president and president of natural gas at Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, leading the company's commercial development, origination, operations and project development, and was also CEO of Mobile Gas Service Company. Mr. Gallagher has served in various functions across the Sempra Energy family of companies. He was senior vice president at Southern California Gas Company—the nation's largest gas utility—in charge of engineering, transmission, storage and distribution facilities; and also managed Sempra Generation's fleet of gas-fueled and renewable power plants. Prior to joining Sempra, Mr. Gallagher was a partner at Sterling Energy Operations and worked 11 years with Duke Energy in the power generation business. In addition, Mr. Gallagher is a member of the Board of Directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy.
