Delta Energy & Communications Announces Michael W. Allman as New Member of its Board of Directors

MURIETTA, Calif., Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Energy & Communications, a smart grid energy solutions company focused on providing connectivity around the globe, today announced that Michael W. Allman has joined the Delta Board of Directors.

With more than 30 years of experience leading and growing global energy and technology businesses, Mr. Allman will provide substantial expertise that will significantly enhance Delta's global position as a pioneer in smart grid energy solutions. Notably, Mr. Allman will be responsible for bringing his Internet of Things (IoT), utility, and telecommunications industry focus to Delta's business.

Mr. Allman is Chairman and CEO of H2scan Corporation, a provider of advanced sensors for industrial processes and equipment. He also serves on the board of directors of companies in the high technology and oil and gas sectors. Previously, Mr. Allman was the President of Bit Stew Systems, a leading software company providing data analytics and machine intelligence for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), until the company was sold to GE in 2016. He has also served as Chairman/President & CEO of Sempra Energy's Southern California Gas Company, the largest natural gas distribution company in the United States, where he achieved record profits and drove the company to the top ranking in customer service. Prior to his role there, Mr. Allman was President & CEO of Sempra Generation, an electric generation business, where he led the company to become one of the leading suppliers of renewable energy, pioneering the utility-scale solar energy market.
