D.E.L.T.A. Rescue Founder Starts Foreign Sales Agency to Promote Animal-Related Feature Films

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- In a progressive formula to place all independent, animal-related films under one roof, a Hollywood actor, producer and world-renowned animal rescuer has announced the start of a foreign sales agency designed for that purpose.

Under Leo Grillo's Animals Are People Too new shingle, well-written and produced animal-related film features and documentaries are showcased in an up-to-date international movie database for the one-stop shopping needs of foreign buyers.

"If filmmakers have projects that are promoting the plight of animals internationally, we might be interested in representing their film on the foreign market," said Grillo, whose agency became incorporated in 2007.

In the wake of its startup, Animals Are People Too has produced several full-length features, including "Magic," starring Grillo ("Dierdre's Party," "Zyzzyx Rd"); character actress Lori Heuring ("The Gates"); and prolific child actress Sammi Hanratty ("The Unit").  

People's Choice Awards 2011 nominee Ashley Bell ("The Last Exorcism") also lends her voice to "Magic," which is about a canine sent from heaven to heal a broken family. Legendary actor Christopher Lloyd ("Back to the Future," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit") gives Magic, the dog, his voice.

Under the expert guidance of CEO Leo Grillo and his director of sales, Chris Bialek, Animals Are People Too promotes worldwide sales for its own expanding roster of major motion pictures and documentaries in all genres while broadening its international body of third-party content.

Animals Are People Too, headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, has recently completed "The Rescuer," a riveting documentary that was more than 25 years in the making. The 84-minute film explores Grillo's perilous rise to becoming a leading, global proponent of animal welfare and protection.

"I thought that if I produced a non-fiction feature, it would help spread the word of what's happening to these poor animals when they are abandoned," said Grillo, founder and president of D.E.L.T.A. Animals Are People Too currently has several films in either pre-production or development. "Rick's Ransom," executive-produced by Grillo and directed by John Penney ("Amphibious 3D"), is slated for a 2012 release. Other animal-themed films scheduled for 2012 distribution are "Hard Ten" and an untitled horrific thriller.

Also in the making is "Clancy," a 3D animated family film about a puppy whose life is saved by an animal rescuer. A release date has not yet been set.
