Democrats, Veterans and Other Community Leaders Rally for "No on Measure B" to Get Out the Vote
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- With the election less than two weeks away, the No on B campaign is building on its growing momentum to defeat the ill-conceived and misleading Measure B. Opponents of Measure B will gather to hear speakers discuss the problems with the measure and remind San Diego County voters to vote "no" on Lilac Hills Ranch – Measure B on the November ballot. Measure B would place Lilac Hills Ranch, a development of more than 1,700 homes and 90,000 square feet of retail space, on agricultural land that is currently zoned for 110 homes.

With Election Day quickly approaching, grassroots activists will gather by the County Registrar of Voters to remind voters that Measure B is bad for all San Diego County residents. Measure B would increase traffic, increase taxpayer burden for road and safety improvements, and set a dangerous precedent for developers to turn to the ballot box for land use approvals in order to skirt county planning requirements. Although Lilac Hills Ranch is located in a rural part of unincorporated San Diego County, every voter in the county will vote on Measure B.
