DermaTouch RN Joins PicoSure® to Help Breast Cancer Survivors Erase Radiation Treatment Tattoo
HOUSTON, Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Renee Moschitto RN BSN and her DermaTouch RN staff join laser technology developer, Cynosure, to help breast cancer survivors erase their radiation treatment tattoo marking - using the new PicoSure® laser tattoo removal technology.
According to Moschitto, breast cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment have a small blue or black tattoo applied to their skin so that radiologists can identify the treatment area. Following treatment, the tattoo remains and serves as a reminder of this ordeal.
"For many breast cancer survivors, deciding to have the radiation tattoo removed can be one of the steps to recovery and resumption of their life. We want to help them do this," said Moschitto.
The month of October, Moschitto and DermaTouch RN are offering free radiation tattoo mark removal for cancer patients, utilizing the PicoSure® laser.
The PicoSure is the most advanced tattoo removal laser technology currently available and the only picosecond laser platform, removing tattoo ink far more rapidly than previous laser tattoo removal treatments.
Patients who wish to take advantage of this special offering must simply contact DermaTouch RN to schedule a consultation, 281.895.9090. Patients must provide the physician with an official letter from their oncologist or radiologist approving the removal of any radiation marks or tattoos.
