Owner of Hart-Davidson Designs gives weekly tips and tutorials for home improvement
WILLIAMSTON, Mich., Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leslie Hart-Davidson, owner and principal designer of Hart-Davidson Designs, has launched designdemocracy, a YouTube Channel featuring tips and tutorials for home improvement projects.
With new episodes launching weekly, Hart-Davidson plans on showing viewers useful, usable design content full of irreverent charm. The channel offers four categories of videos:
- Tutes – Tutorials where Leslie Hart-Davidson empowers viewers to take action with DIY projects by showing them step-by-step instructions.
- Comps – Comparisons of various products and materials that offer objective information and designer insider perspectives to encourage educated decisions.
- Faves – Favorites from Leslie Hart-Davidson's portfolio of design projects and the fun stories behind them.
- T/NAT – Thing or Not A Thing – Leslie Hart-Davidson's catchphrase demonstrates democracy in action as she showcases an item or element and asks the viewer to vote if the item is a "thing" or "not a thing."
The first episode is "Countertop Comparisons" where Hart-Davidson presents four popular countertop surfaces to educate the viewer and encourages them to consider both budget and use before they head to the home improvement store. She will discuss the differences between laminate, solid surface, granite, and quartz countertops. This short episode gives the viewer objective information weighing the pros and cons of each material, without the creepy sales pitch that viewers might encounter at a retail store.
