LEEDS, England, September 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Recent reports say the future for the jobs market is looking bleak, especially in the North where businesses are supposedly not hiring. Despite this news, Google Partner Search Laboratory, the Leeds-based multilingual search marketing company, is defying the trend and continuing its expansion in line with the increased demand for its online marketing services.
Search Laboratory has taken on 10 new staff this month and is taking on new business as more companies realise the value of search as part of the digital marketing mix. In addition to the 10 new positions just filled, Search Laboratory has 5 further vacancies including recruitment for linguists who carry out their essential multilingual link building (SEO) work. Recruitment at Search Laboratory is set to continue in Leeds with at least four new jobs being created each month moving forward.
Annette Rutherford-Thompson MREC, Jobs Team Manager of Leeds Metropolitan University comments; "Leeds Metropolitan University Jobs Team is working alongside Search Laboratory Ltd promoting their graduate vacancies via our on-line portal, and assisting Search Laboratory with their staffing needs to develop business growth… the northern business economy is not looking bleak in our opinion".
The Company now has over 65 employees and is breaking records for revenue month on month. It's apparent that not all agencies are struggling in the current climate.
Search Laboratory's Ian Harris, CEO, commented "Growth within the business is accelerating faster than we had anticipated. Word of mouth referrals continue to generate the majority of our new business. More and more companies are deciding to harness the power of paid and natural search. Once they see positive ROI, they realise that successes they have had in the UK can be replicated in overseas markets too. Increased demand for multilingual SEO work is creating new jobs in Yorkshire."
