OSLO, Norway, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, SuccessFactors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFSF) announced that Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an independent foundation with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment, has deployed SuccessFactors Performance Management and Goal Management modules to its approximately 9,000 global staff spanning 300 offices across roughly 100 countries, including EMEA, Asia Pacific and the Americas. SuccessFactors is now an embedded part of the company process helping to enhance overall business alignment through increased employee performance and development.
DNV's history goes back to 1864, when the foundation was established in Norway to inspect and evaluate the technical condition of Norwegian merchant vessels. Since then, its core competence has been to identify, assess, and advise on how to manage risk. Whether DNV classifies a ship, certifies an automotive company's management system, or advises on how to best maintain an aging oil platform, its focus is to safely and responsibly improve business performance.

DNV selected SuccessFactors Performance and Goal Management solutions to provide their core talent management system. The system, internally known as 'Managing Individual Performance' (MIPs), was rolled out to the entire global organization in January 2009.

"Since implementing SuccessFactors, over 90 percent of the company within four months signed up to utilise its functionality which is testament to the intuitive nature of the solution. We initially started with a simple set up in the first year to ensure staff were comfortable with the new processes, and have since started adding more functionality."
