Detroit Media Community Donates Air Time and Media Space to Increase Awareness of Planet Fitness Breast Cancer Awareness 'Pink' Donation Event
Planet Fitness donates $10 enrollment fees to support the cause
TROY, Mich., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Mother's Day, Planet Fitness is sponsoring its fourth annual Mother's Day promotion to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF), and Michigan's media community is rallying to support the cause.

In southeast Michigan alone, the media community is donating over $40,000 worth of air time and media space to increase awareness of the "Pink" donation event that runs from May 8-15. CBS Outdoor donated 15 billboards, worth $30,000 in media dollars, and over 30 radio stations will be making public service announcements, totaling over $10,000 in air time.
From May 8th -15th, people can join Planet Fitness for just $10 down and Planet Fitness locations throughout southeast Michigan will donate 100% of enrollment fees ($10 per signup) to BCRF. Over the past three years, Planet Fitness has donated more than $1 million to BCRF, and Planet Fitness and its franchisees this year hope to surpass previous years' donations.
The freeways of Detroit are a landscape of pink as CBS Outdoor donates 15 billboards for an entire month to increase awareness of the Planet Fitness Breast Cancer Donation Event.
