DeWayne "Prince Syc" Turrentine - "Surviving" - Nominated for 2016 IFP Gotham Award

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DeWayne "Prince Syc" Turrentine is the producer, alongside his wife, actress Reagan Gomez Preston, of the web series "Surviving", which she created, wrote, and directed. DeWayne also served as music composer, and scored the entire series as well. Their show, "Surviving", has been nominated for a 2016 IFP Gotham Award for Breakthrough Series- Short Form. "Surviving" is a sci-fi thriller which finds two (2) sisters battling to survive a mysterious flu virus that has infected and mutated human beings into zombies, which incredibly one of the sisters has the ability to control.

DeWayne was a former member of the rap duo "Quo", which was the first act signed to the late Michael Jackson's, MJJ/Sony Music Label. DeWayne went on to become an international model in campaigns for Versace, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger, and has appeared in high fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and GQ, to name a few. He made his acting debut in the movie "Waist Deep". He also appeared as an actor in the web series "Almost Home", Seasons 1 & 2. DeWayne has practiced the martial art form, Muay Thai for over 15 years. He's also a music DJ a/k/a "DJ Golden Child." In addition, DeWayne is a self-taught musician who plays piano, drums, guitar, and bass. With a unique set of skills, this multi-faceted actor & entertainer is ready for the next exciting chapter in his career.
