DHL Global Mail Announces Appointment of New Chairman

WESTON, Fla., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- DHL Global Mail is pleased to announce the appointment of S. David Fineman as Chairman of its Board of Directors for the Americas region. As a former Chairman of the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors, Fineman brings substantial experience in postal matters to DHL Global Mail - Americas.

Fineman is a Senior Partner of the Philadelphia law firm of Fineman Krekstein & Harris. He began a nine-year term on the USPS Board of Governors in 1995, after being nominated by President Bill Clinton and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Fineman was Chairman for his last two years on the board, which is responsible for overseeing the USPS' finances, reviewing its operations and setting objectives. During this time, the USPS successfully improved its operational efficiency while enhancing customer service. Fineman was an outspoken advocate for postal reform legislation, and worked closely with Congress and the Presidential Administration on its enactment. Before becoming Chairman, Fineman served as the board's Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Compensation committees.

Fineman's lengthy history of public service also includes a stint on the Industry Policy Advisory Committee, which advises the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and U.S. Trade Representative on international trade. Additionally, Fineman has served on the boards of directors of numerous nonprofit organizations and private companies.
