Digi International Nominates New Candidate for Board of Directors

MINNETONKA, Minn., Dec. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Digi International®, (NASDAQ: DGII), (www.digi.com), announced today that its Board of Directors has nominated Mr. Hatem Naguib, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Barracuda, Inc.'s security business unit, to stand for election as director during its 2019 annual meeting of stockholders to be held on February 4, 2019. Mr. Naguib has been nominated to fill the vacancy that will arise when Mr. Ahmed Nawaz completes his term at the annual meeting. Mr. Nawaz is retiring from the board and will not be standing for re-election at the annual meeting.

Prior to his work with Barracuda, he spent nearly 10 years at cloud computing and platform virtualization giant VMware; his roles included Vice President of Networking and Security, Vice President of Worldwide Cisco, EMC and VCE Alliances, and Senior Director of Worldwide HP Alliances. He began his career with Accenture, a global management consulting firm. Mr. Naguib is a member of the Board of Directors of Hytrust, Inc., a provider of security software for virtualized and cloud environments.
