Digital Pro Kim Komando and Longtime SkyMall Chief Christine Aguilera Join Forces

PHOENIX, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WestStar MultiMedia Entertainment, Inc., parent company to the nationally-syndicated Kim Komando Show, today announced longtime SkyMall President Christine Aguilera has joined the company as chief operating officer of WestStar MultiMedia and president of WestStar Merchandising.

The newly-created position signals a focus on leveraging strategic growth opportunities for the Kim Komando and WestStar multimedia brands and teams two nationally-recognized, highly-successful female entrepreneurs.

As SkyMall president for more than 10 years, Aguilera led all aspects of the iconic airline catalog seen by more than 650 million passengers each year as well as skymall.com.  Additionally, she was instrumental in many corporate milestones including SkyMall's initial public offering in 1996, its sale to TV Guide in 2001 and subsequent sales to private equity ownership in 2005 and 2012. During her 16-year tenure at SkyMall, Aguilera also held other leadership roles, including CFO and general counsel.

Prior to joining SkyMall, Aguilera was a corporate and securities attorney in private practice. Previously she practiced at the international law firm of Squire Sanders. From 1986 to 1989, she practiced as a certified public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers.)

Aguilera earned bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance with honors from New Mexico State University in 1986 and is a Hall of Fame honoree at the NMSU College of Business. She earned her law degree with Order of the Coif honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1992. Aguilera is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and has practiced as a certified public accountant.
