Digital Sandbox and VidSys Announce Partnership for Superior Critical Infrastructure Risk and Situational Awareness

MCLEAN, Va., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Sandbox, the  premier source of risk management software products and services for the public safety community, announced that it is partnering with VidSys, Inc., the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time. This partnership will unite the unique capabilities of Digital Sandbox's risk management solution with VidSys' situation management functionalities to create a powerful solution for addressing customers' critical asset protection and risk management needs.

Both companies have focused their missions on different aspects of critical infrastructure protection; this partnership takes advantage of the natural synergy between the two views to create a more robust risk and situational awareness solution for their customers.

The VidSys PSIM software will leverage the comprehensive critical asset data that Digital Sandbox's Analytic Platform enables its customers to collect in order to identify new and escalate existing situations. This includes information such as risk details, vulnerabilities, and points of contact data.  This collection of real-time data will provide VidSys customers with access to additional complimentary information related to public safety and critical infrastructure for unfolding situations. In addition, VidSys will be able to take advantage of Digital Sandbox's Mobile Indicator incident feed, a unique threat and suspicious activity reporting application that sends accurate, descriptive data (photos, geo-codes) in real time on threats and suspicious activities.  

Digital Sandbox's Analytic Platform will leverage situation information from the VidSys PSIM software so that customers can determine what critical assets and other threats may be nearby, enabling a more effective response to unfolding situations. Video and additional situation detail such as floor plans will be visible.
