Digium Expands Partner Program Options for Asterisk Integrators and Developers

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® Company, announced today that it has made it easier than ever for Asterisk integrators, value-added resellers (VARs) and developers to join its award-winning channel partner program. In addition to an expanded product portfolio that now includes IP phones, gateways, redundancy appliances and telephony cards that integrate with Asterisk open source software, the certification program has been streamlined. The training and certification requirements now feature online training options so that people can become certified in a much shorter timeframe.

Organizations who wish to be recognized as Certified Asterisk Integration Partners are encouraged to apply. The requirements include:

1) Complete a "Registered" or "Select" channel partner agreement and confirm one individual in the organization who will complete the certification curriculum.

2) Successfully complete the online Asterisk Technical Product Training exam, and  

3) Successfully complete the online Digium Certified Asterisk Administrator (dCAA) exam, or, successfully complete the instructor-led Digium Certified Asterisk Professional (dCAP) exam. Note: individuals who have already achieved dCAP status are only required to complete the Technical Product Training exam.

Program Levels and Benefits

The program provides three tiers – Select, Registered and Affiliate. Each tier offers promotional incentives, marketing support, training and opportunities for discounted demo kits. Digium's Partner Program features an innovative product set and marketing support that includes qualified lead distribution – not just contacts. Partners not only have access to free online technical training, but they are also given access to Digium's partner program which features marketing toolkits, content syndication and quarterly promotions to drive new business. Affiliate partners are able to join the program with no revenue requirement and often quickly advance to the next level with ongoing sales.

Partners can specialize in Asterisk custom communications and supply customers with complete phone systems, including Digium phones, network connectivity products and their own unique service offerings. Or, partners may choose to specialize in and become certified to sell Digium's Switchvox Unified Communications (UC) system that has been recognized as a "Best Value" by Frost & Sullivan, and was selected as a "Tech Innovator" award winner by CRN.
