DISH Network® Recognizes Three Award Winners in "Best in Class" eDiscovery Legal Research and Writing Competition

The DISH Network® "Best in Class" eDiscovery Legal Research and Writing Competition asked students to address the topic, "Are further amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure necessary to help litigants address the complexities, costs and burdens associated with electronic discovery?" 

Amanda Jaret of St. John's University won the competition for her submission titled Electronic Discovery of Social Media Data: What's Not to "Like"?, and will be awarded a $2,500 cash prize.  In addition to the cash prize, Ms. Jaret will be invited to discuss her submission during a webinar that will be hosted by the Information Law firm of Redgrave LLP.

Cindy Pham of The University of Denver Sturm College of Law, with her submission titled Proportionality in E-Discovery: Relevancy, Burdens, and Discretion, and Scott Lucas of Faulkner University Jones School of Law, with his submission titled The Well Pleaded Discovery Request: Adding Discovery Requests to Pleadings, each received runner-up designations and each will be awarded $1,000 for their submissions.
