Washington, IL is just one area that was affected by a rare system of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms on November 17th, 2013. At least seven people were killed and dozens of others were injured, according to the Huffington Post, with the most severe damage found in areas of northern and central Illinois, although severe storms impacted 11 other states as well. Hundreds of people are now left without homes.
