Diverse Computing, Inc. Announces New Project with the Oregon State Police for the Development and Operation of Their New Law Enforcement Data System

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Diverse Computing, Inc. (DCI), a national leader in criminal justice software and FBI-compliance solutions, was awarded a contract by the Oregon State Police (OSP) for the development, implementation, and operation of the new Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) 20/20. LEDS 20/20 is designed to provide criminal justice professionals such as law enforcement agencies, courts, and correctional institutions with information about individuals with whom they have contact or interest. For example, LEDS 20/20 will inform a police officer that a violator has a criminal history or is wanted on a warrant for his/her arrest. In addition, the system will support authorized non-criminal justice agencies with access to critical information that they use for making determinations in situations such as employment and interaction with vulnerable populations. LEDS 20/20 will replace OSP's legacy criminal justice system, CRIMEvue.

When complete, LEDS 20/20 will utilize DCI's flagship product, a next generation message switch called eAgent FUSE, at the core of the solution. In addition, DCI will be implementing their eAgent Computerized Criminal History (CCH) and eAgent Hot Files which will be customized and configured to meet the State of Oregon's specific business requirements. Users of the LEDS 20/20 system will be able to take advantage of DCI's state-of-the-art user interface called eAgent 2.0 to access state and federal systems and databases. In addition, DCI will design custom user interfaces for other LEDS 20/20 components such as the Computerized Criminal History (CCH), Firearms Instant Check, and Applicant Background Check.

eAgent 2.0 is a browser-based, zero-footprint National Crime Information System (NCIC) access solution that will run on any device including mobile data computers, desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones. The "zero-footprint" design means the program runs in a browser and does not require installation on the device.

Once implemented, Oregon's criminal justice, law enforcement, and non-criminal justice communities will see a vast improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of information sharing while fulfilling their mission of protecting the public.
