WARRENDALE, Pa., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- It wasn't just the diversity of topics.
It wasn't just the covey of elite speakers.
And, it wasn't just the spectacular trade show floor.
It was all of these components that, together, made the SAE International 2010 Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress one of the most memorable in the event's seven-year history. The congress was held Oct. 5-6 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.
"I'm not sure that the Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress could have gone any better," said Greg Muha, manager of SAE International's Commercial Vehicle and Defense Sector. "The Oshkosh Corporation took very seriously its leadership role and its executive team was incredibly responsive. Oshkosh Corporation's contributions were invaluable to the success of the Congress."
Oshkosh Corporation was the first defense-related company to assume a leadership role in the Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress. Oshkosh Corporation's Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer Gregory L. Fredericksen and Executive Vice President, Corporate Engineering and Technology, Donald H. Verhoff served as co-chairs of the event.
"We are extremely proud to have been the sponsor of an event that is clearly one of the finest technical conferences in the commercial vehicle industry," Fredericksen said. "If you want to stay on top of the critical technologies and challenges facing the on-road and off-road and commercial vehicle industry, it is important to be engaged in the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress."
"The idea sharing and educational value of this event is phenomenal," added Verhoff. "The Congress offered a wide variety of technical sessions and seminars that were relevant for our entire industry. It was a point of pride that Oshkosh provided the executive leadership of the 2010 Congress."
