This year's forum features breakfast speaker, Michael Ricks, District Director, Louisiana SBA, discussing his Vision of the Wireless Industry for the Next 3 to 5 Years. A former small-business entrepreneur and life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Mr. Ricks brings a unique viewpoint to the diverse supplier's role in the wireless industry's future.
The morning also includes a View from the Top panel discussion where top industry executives and supply chain leaders, Keith Connolly, Vice President of Consumer Supply Chain at AT&T, Ann Deardorff, Senior Director, Procurement Operations and Strategy at Motorola Mobility, Inc., Sean Murphy, Vice President, Global Commodity Management at Research in Motion (RIM), and Eugene Agee, Vice President, Procurement & Real Estate, Sprint Nextel Corporation provide insight on Procurement Roadmaps for the Next 3 to 5 Years. Oliver Turman, AT&T Global Business and Operations Sourcing Director, will moderate.
A special luncheon will feature keynote speaker Michael Rogers, one of the nation's leading experts on technology's impact on business and society, sharing his Vision of the Wireless Industry. Mr. Rogers runs a New York-based consultancy called the Practical Futurist. The luncheon will include the Sixth Annual DiversityNXT Awards honoring the accomplishments of one corporation and one diverse supplier who have made great strides into the "next generation" of the wireless industry.
The forum continues with an afternoon of pre-scheduled corporate matchmaker sessions offering one-on-one meetings between diverse suppliers and participating corporations. The day concludes with a networking reception.
