DJ Roulette: Worldwide Performances at Extrema Outdoor

At dance festival XO Live, formerly Extrema Outdoor, a new and innovative concept will be launched: DJ Roulette. Artists from across the world can perform via live stream during the festival and compete for a spot at XO Live 2013. "We're looking for innovation, more live performances and new talents. DJ Roulette brings it all together!", according to Marcel Mingers, Extrema's CEO.

During DJ Roulette the dj performs via live stream. The performance is broadcasted to the XO Lab on the festival grounds, which of course includes a dance floor. The festival audience is the jury and is able to vote the performer off. The dj that is allowed to stay on the longest wins a gig at XO Live 2013. Also exclusive DJ gear by Native Instruments (known for Traktor), totaling upwards of €2000, will be divided over the winner and two runner-ups.

From all submissions 49 will be picked for a mini performance via live stream during the festival. Everybody who signs up will have a chance to win two out of 100 tickets for XO Live 2013. In addition, people who sign up from countries other than the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium will have a chance to win two flight tickets to the festival, including two tickets and hotel.

XO Live takes place for the 17th time at recreation beach Aquabest, near the city of Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands. The festival is among the oldest of its kind. The artists performing during DJ Roulette will be in good company, the outdoor dance festival has programmed such artists as Sven Väth, Swedish House Mafia, Ricardo Villalobos and Sasha through the years. This year adds David Guetta, LMFAO, Paul Kalkbrenner, Luciano, Nero, The Bloody Beetroots and other internationally renowned dance acts to the list.
