DLA Awards Foster Fuels, Inc. Superior Supplier Award 2014 - Gold
BROOKNEAL, Va., Dec. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On December 10, 2014, Defense Logistic Agency announced Fuels, Inc. as a recipient of the gold Superior Supplier Award for 2014. 40 suppliers from across the world were selected as finalists and then ranked as bronze, silver, or gold level recipients. Foster Fuels, a family-owned business based out of Brookneal, Virginia, was one of only 15 suppliers and the only fuel company ranked on the highest level, Gold. They were also one of only 13 small businesses included on the entire list.

As part of the Department of Defense's Supperior Supplier Incentative Program, there were over 150 international, parts and commodity suppliers with DLA contracts that were eligible. The suppliers had a proven record of performance as well as an established rating in the federal Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). Those selected received the highest CPARS marks in areas such as cost, schedule, performance, quality, and business relations.
Foster Fuels, Inc., has been a vendor of DLA since 2006, and currently delivers fuel to federal civilian and military locations throughout the United States.
