"At 21, I was invited to start a new high tech company with Glenn Pennock (former founder and president of first web design company in Europe, which at one point was worth $500 million).  He and his brother invented their own programming language, and within months we were negotiating $10 million dollar contracts with major entertainment companies," Dmitri Chavkerov said.

"At 22, I was invited to be 50-50 partner with Mike Street of Street, Inc.  He had more than 100 properties in Southern California.

Dmitri Chavkerov has always trusted his instincts. At age 25, he turned down an offer to manage a $1 billion dollar fund. "About a year later, someone sent me a newspaper article that said one of the traders stole $300 million from the fund and the whole operation went under litigation," he said.
