DNA Dynamics Subsidiary Releases New Mobile App
Slam Productions Partners With Herbert Art Gallery On Companion App
LONDON, April 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Slam Productions LTD, a subsidiary of DNA Dynamics, Inc (PINKSHEETS: DNAD) announces that it has released the iOS and Android versions of the Herbert Art Gallery Application that it was commissioned to develop in late 2010.
Slam Productions is tightly associated with the Serious Games Institute (SGI), which is backed by the University of Coventry. This relationship allows Slam to bid for work in association with the SGI and gives access to projects that are both prestigious and profitable. It was through this relationship that Slam was able to win the bid for the design and development of the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum Mobile Guide.
The application includes an interactive interface and digital map of the entire museum, allowing visitors to navigate around the galleries. In addition the system will record data associated with each user in order to develop a record of where people have gone in the museum allowing curators to understand more about what the visitor found interesting and which exhibits are most popular.
Integrated into the application is the use of Quick Response (QR) Codes. At the entrance to each gallery there is a QR code which the visitor captures using the camera on their device. The QR code recognised will link to a short introduction to the gallery as well as giving additional content to each exhibit.
Speaking about the commission, Ed Blincoe, CEO of DNA Dynamics, Inc explained why he was so excited about the future for Slam and the tech behind the company. "Slam's Rapid Application Development tool, the Slam Engine, allows an application to be created within the engine and published out to multiple platforms. In this case, the requirement was for iOS and Android, however, the Slam Engine can also output to all major videogames consoles and handheld platforms. The reduction in development time for multi-platform projects makes a much improved competitive position."
DNA Dynamics, Inc recently announced that it had reduced the Authorized Share Capital from 950m to 350m in an effort to assure shareholder value and to build in a solid base upon which the company can grow.
