"Dog Walker Watch" Festival - Saturday in Ardmore; Cops, Dogs, Families Join Forces
ARDMORE, Pa., May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Saturday, May 7th, Lower Merion Community Watch and Police Department will host a Dog Walker Watch Festival to promote the Township's Dog Walker Watch (DWW) crime awareness program.
The event will be held in front of the Public Safety Building at 71 E. Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, from 11 am to 2 pm.
Lower Merion police officers will be available to discuss the Dog Walker Watch program which encourages all walkers to be aware and alert for suspicious activity when they are out. Also, LMPD officers will provide tips and suggestions when calling 911. Leashed, well-mannered dogs are welcome.
Entertainment will include: Face Painters, Clowns, Jugglers, DJ Eric Vanderslice, Hot Dogs, Pizza, Raffle and Giveaways.
Community Watch President Matt Peskin said, "There are hundreds of walkers out at any given time throughout our Township." "As extra eyes and ears for the police, they become a valuable resource in helping to make our community a safer place."
