Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan's Charitable Foundation Kicks off 2nd Annual Cesar & Friends Celebrity Online Auction
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Millan Foundation is hosting its second annual Celebrity Online Auction October 21st through November 5th 2010.
Millions of homeless dogs in our nation's animal shelters and rescue organizations need a second chance. Every year 4 to 6 million animals are euthanized, most of them healthy, adoptable, and scared. The pet overpopulation problem in the U.S. continues to be shocking. The Millan Foundation is a leader in helping to address these problems through financial support, education, and awareness.
Last year's event proved quite successful, with more than $40,000 raised for the Foundation, and this year looks just as promising with an incredible list of auction items, including a Tom Brady signed jersey, a New Jersey Nets Package that includes two tickets to a game and your child gets to be the honorary ballboy/girl, a private visit to the set of "BONES," VIP tickets to the "Chelsea Lately" show, Lakers VIP packages, luxury vacation packages, and tons of celebrity-signed merchandise, products, and experiences, including Gloria Estefan, Jacqueline Bisset, Gisele Bundchen, and Owen Wilson.
Plus -- bidders have the opportunity to be Cesar Millan's VIP guest at one of his 2011 seminars! The top item last year -- "Spend a Day with the Dog Whisperer!" -- is being auctioned off once again.
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Millan Foundation for their continued support to assist non-profit animal shelters and organizations engaged in the rescuing, rehabilitation, and re-homing of abused and abandoned dogs.
Bidding is now open! The auction closes at 8 p.m. on November 5.
Supporters and fans may also participate in a special raffle for the chance to join Cesar on the road during his 2011 U.S. tour.
Visit the auction's website here.
