
Domo Chemicals Finalizes Succesful Expansion Investments With Start-up of a new Ammonium Sulfate Storage Facility in Leuna (Germany)

- Domo Caproleuna GmbH, subsidiary of DOMO Chemicals, celebrates in Leuna (Saxony-Anhalt, Germany) the successful start-up of a new Ammonium Sulfate storage facility (investment of 30 million euro) with a capacity of 80.000 tons in the presence of the Minister of Economic Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Haseloff, and Domo Chemicals' Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr.Jan De Clerck.
Despite the difficult global market circumstances, DOMO(R) Chemicals has further strengthened its competitiveness through the successful finalization of the expansion investments during 2008 and 2009, amounting to 50 million euro, in its caprolactam and nylon plant in Leuna.
On top of the 20 million euro of investments in 10 % capacity growth, a significant part, 30 million euro, has been invested in a new high-tech storage and handling facility for ammonium sulfate, an important byproduct of caprolactam.
