Donald E. Godwin Named Among Dallas' Top Lawyers for Fifth Consecutive Year

DALLAS, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fifth consecutive year, Donald E. Godwin, Chairman and CEO of the prominent Texas trial and appellate law firm of Godwin Ronquillo PC, has earned a place on D Magazine's listing of "The Best Lawyers in Dallas" in recognition of his work for clients in business litigation.

Joining Mr. Godwin, from Godwin Ronquillo, on the 2012 list of Dallas' top attorneys are honorees Marilea W. Lewis, based on her alternative dispute resolution work, and Jenny L. Martinez, who is recognized for her work in banking and finance litigation.

Mr. Godwin, who has tried well over a hundred jury cases in courts throughout Texas and across the United States, currently serves as the lead trial attorney for Halliburton in connection with all civil litigation and investigations concerning the 2010 BP Macondo oil well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico.

A former District Judge, Ms. Lewis is Chair of the firm's Family Law Litigation and Arbitration/Mediation sections, and is certified as a mediator in both general and family practice issues. Ms. Martinez, Vice President of the firm's Executive Committee, serves as Co-Chair of the Commercial Litigation Section.
