Donor Registration Now Available for Nevada Residents
Improving life by linking whole body donors with medical researchers and educators
PHOENIX, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Care is pleased to announce that residents of Nevada can now join the Science Care Donor Registry. Each individual registered will receive their own Science Care ID cards. These cards are a quick reference expressing the intention of whole body donation while providing the toll free number to Science Care. Additionally these cards can be shared with family or next of kin. This is a great opportunity for individuals with dual residency. Part time residency in the state of NV will allow pre- registration where it may not be available in the other residing state currently. Persons who do not live in a state where Science Care accepts pre-registrations simply need to inform their loved ones that they wish to be a donor so they are aware to call Science Care upon entry into hospice care or at the time of need.
Science Care serves as the link between those that wish to leave a lasting legacy through whole body donation for medical research and those medical researchers and educators that need human tissue to advance medicine. Science Care works with many of the largest and most prestigious universities, medical schools, research institutions and medical device development companies in the world, Science Care has helped to facilitate the development of numerous lifesaving and life enhancing medical procedures and devices. Tens of thousands of nurses, first responders, physicians and surgeons have received hands on surgical training through the generous gifts of Science Care donors, improving patient outcomes today and in the future.
Residents of Nevada who wish to join the Science Care donor registry and give back to medical research can register online at www.sciencecare.com or call 1-800-417-3747.
Donating your body to science improves life for everyone.
"I believe that we are put on this earth for many reasons. Once our time has ended, we should leave a legacy behind of ourselves by donating our body to science. There's no reason to be buried or cremated when you have the great opportunity to have science use your body for research. If everyone donated, we might have cures for a lot of illness. The world would definitely be a better place." Maria T. California
