NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Dotmenu, a leading corporation in the online food industry operating both Allmenus.com and Campusfood.com, today announced its recent partnership with Twitter, the real-time information network with 175 million registered users.
The partnership was developed after Twitter's recent addition of the user option to add locations to Tweets, letting followers know where the user is Tweeting from. Since then, Twitter has been working with a number of partners to grow its data set of places, offering more location choices to users. To make it easy for Twitter users to utilize the large data set, Twitter is creating an index that combines the IDs of different locations across different partners into one.
"We're thrilled to partner with Twitter in this (recent) initiative to build a universal database which will now include all Allmenus and Campusfood restaurants with other networks," said Sloan Gaon, CEO, Dotmenu. "Our websites enable people to enjoy great food in an ultra-convenient way, while simultaneously serving to drive business to restaurants all across the country; a process which will now be enhanced by the Twitter experience."
Allmenus.com, a consumer and corporate focused website that features over 250,000 menus/restaurants and 4,500 online ordering restaurants from more than 8,000 cities nationwide, also provides services including online ordering capabilities as well as restaurant information, reviews and ratings.
