Douglas Emmett Obtains $110 Million Term Loan Fixed at 2.30%

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglas Emmett, Inc. (NYSE: DEI), a real estate investment trust (REIT), announced that one of its unconsolidated real estate funds has closed a non-recourse, interest only $110 million term loan.  The new loan matures in March 2023 and bears interest at a floating rate of Libor plus 1.40%, which has been fixed at 2.30% per annum until March 2021 through an interest rate swap.  Douglas Emmett owns approximately 24% of the equity in the unconsolidated fund, which used the proceeds to refinance a $51 million loan scheduled to mature in April 2016.
