Douglas J. Ellis joins Cohen & Grigsby's Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group

PITTSBURGH, June 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. is pleased to announce that Douglas J. Ellis has joined the firm as a Director in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group, effective immediately.

He has over 20 years of experience advising employers, administrators, fiduciaries and other clients on matters related to employee benefits and executive compensation. He also assists clients with regulatory compliance with respect to executive and equity compensation, including tax under Section 409A, Section 162(m) and Section 280G, insider reporting and stock plan registration.

In addition, Mr. Ellis provides advice in mergers and acquisitions with regard to benefits, compensation and related employee transition matters, including administration and integration of benefit plans, treatment of equity awards and structuring of severance or retention arrangements.

He is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, Western Pennsylvania Chapter and the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Mr. Ellis earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ohio State University.
