FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The YMCA of South Florida, at Pembroke Pines (YMCA) announces its appointment of Anne Arvizu, PharmD, FASCP, PCC, as Chairperson of its Board of Directors. Anne was supported by the Board in a unanimous vote on Sept 3, promoting her in office from Vice Chair to Chair.
The YMCA is an organization that promises to strengthen the community. The Y is a leading nonprofit organization for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y is a powerful association of men, women and children committed to bringing about lasting personal and social change. Dr. Arvizu has served on multiple board of directors and notable national and international charitable organizations volunteering her time, talent and treasure to strengthen her local and professional communities. She spent a 2-year term as Secretary/Treasurer for the American Medical Writers Association, and currently also serves with the DIA as a Program Committee Member, Track Chair and speaker for their major events.
