Dr. Michael Miller Joins Summit Tech Partners' Leadership Team

Its actions are a direct result of client projects, from both the DOD and the private sector. Recently, the company added industry thought leader Dr. Michael A. Miller as Senior Vice President, Business Execution Strategy. In this role, Dr. Miller works with client executives to establish vision and tactical strategies and is actively involved in achieving Digital transformations. These efforts include executive coaching, adapting culture, integrating current and new business practices within government agencies and private sector companies. His main mission is to help clients build self-sustaining organizations that succeed at transformation.
Dr. Miller brings nearly 30-years in Program Management leading advanced technology initiatives within government and commercial communications, satellite, and embedded computer systems industries.
Prior to joining STP, Dr. Miller served General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) in a wide range of Program Management leadership roles for 16 years. He has directed cross-functional teams to transform organizations that support public communications networks, radios and satellite technology for defense, cyber, public safety, and intelligence communities. Dr. Miller is recognized as a leading Agile & DevSecOps practitioner across the Agile community. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and multiple Prime DoD defense contractors have formally recognized Dr. Miller's leadership and the vital contributions he has made to their Agile Transformation efforts.
Dr. Miller holds a PhD - Engineering Management, an MBA - Technology Management, a MC - Project Management, and a BS - Computer Science and Engineering. He has earned multiple Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) 5 certifications – SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP), Product Owner Product Manager (POPM), and SAFe Scrum Master (SSM). Dr. Miller is a PMEB Certified Product Management Professional (PMP), and a PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), as well as a certified Agility Health Facilitator (AHF).
He has been awarded three (3) US Patents – Multiple User SIM Card Secured Subscriber Unit, SIM Card Secured Subscriber Unit, and Method and Apparatus for Data Communication Using a Multi-Number Mobile Telephone – and his Real-time Minimization Technique for Earth Terminal Weather Effects was featured in Motorola Technical Development.
