Dream Weekend to Honor Martin Luther King Jr. at Schaumburg's LEGOLAND(R) Discovery Center

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center honors Martin Luther King Jr. during the family indoor LEGO playland's Dream Weekend, January 16–18, 2010.  Guests throughout the weekend can participate in an interactive mural build which depicts King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech.  Youngsters visiting LEGOLAND can share their dreams by placing their written thoughts and drawings in the Park's "Dream Box."  A selection of dreams will be posted on LEGOLAND Discovery Center's website.

Visuals include:

  • LEGOLAND guests building, brick by brick, the Martin Luther King, Jr. mosaic which is more than nine feet long and built with more than 16,000 bricks
  • Youngsters sharing their dreams through drawing and writing and depositing them in a "Dream Box"
