Dreamfields Pasta Invites Consumers to Chat Live Via Twitter With Diabetes Management Expert Amy Hess-Fischl
View the Diabetes 1.0 Rebroadcast Prior to the Chat on November 11, 2010
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for Diabetes Awareness Month (November) Dreamfields Pasta (www.trydreamfields.com), announces it will rebroadcast its award-winning Diabetes 1.0 webcast to set the stage for a live Twitter chat about diabetes management. The webcast will be available starting November 8, 2010.
During its January debut, the webcast attracted 2,500 participants and more than 800 questions for the panel of experts. It is estimated that since that time, nearly 1.5 million Americans have been diagnosed with diabetes. Recognizing the high demand for information on diabetes management, Dreamfields invites consumers to watch the webcast before joining the 1-hour Twitter chat with diabetes expert Amy Hess-Fischl. Using the hashtag #Dreamfields, participants can ask Amy advice, learn more about Dreamfields and win prizes. Amy Hess-Fischl was named the 2009 Diabetes Educator of the Year and is the American Program coordinator for the Teen Transition Program at the University of Chicago's Kovler Diabetes Center. The chat will follow the rebroadcast at approximately 1:00 P.M. CST on Thursday, November 11, 2010.
"There's so much information about diabetes available, trying to find an answer to specific lifestyle or health questions can be overwhelming," says Dreamfields President, Mike Crowley. "We're proud to share this educational webcast again this year with the new addition of a Twitter chat. It's a unique chance for people to get advice and tips for diabetes management directly from expert Amy Hess-Fischl."
Topics covered in the webcast include:
- Managing Your Weight and Blood Sugar with Robert Duyff, MS, RD, FADA, CFCS
- Rate Your Plate – Counting Carbs and Your Blessings with Tami Ross, RD, LD, CDE
- Managing Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Teens is a Family Affair with Amy Hess-Fischl, MS, RD, LDN, BC-ADM, CDE
