SAN FRANCISCO, July 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Drip Drop Inc., makers of the first oral rehydration solution (ORS) to combine medical standards of rehydration therapy and excellent taste, today announced that Major General James "Spider" Marks, a decorated veteran of the United States Army, has joined the Company Board of Directors.
"Dehydration compromises soldiers, both physically and mentally, and can jeopardize troops and the mission," said General Marks. "DripDrop is exactly what soldiers need: a great tasting solution that is lightweight and portable, easy to administer, and works in even the most grueling of circumstances. I look forward to helping the DripDrop team support our men and women in uniform."
General Marks spent over 30 years in the United States Army and held every command position from infantry platoon leader to commanding general. He was the senior intelligence officer for Joint Task Force Los Angeles during the LA Riots and served as a strategist on the personal staff of the Chief of Staff of the Army. General Marks was the senior intelligence officer in the Balkans and Korea, and the senior intelligence officer in combat for the Coalition Land Forces liberation of Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom. He culminated his career as the Commanding General of the US Army Intelligence Center and School at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He is a Master parachutist authorized to wear Canadian and Korean Airborne wings, Air Assault qualified, and an Honor Graduate of the US Army's Ranger School.
Since retiring from the military, General Marks has led entrepreneurial efforts in education, energy, and primary research, and served as the President and CEO of Global Linguist Solutions, a private company that provided linguistics services to the U.S. military in Iraq and was the largest employer of native Iraqis. He is an on-air national security, military, and intelligence contributor to CNN, an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, and the Executive Dean, College of Security and Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix.
