DTA Foundation Prepares for National Brush Day on November 1 and Invites Families to Join the DentSquad

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- National Brush Day is celebrated every year on November 1, the day after Halloween, to promote children's oral health. By reinforcing the importance of brushing for two minutes, twice a day (2min2x), families can help children establish healthy routines that can carry into adulthood.

This year, the DTA Foundation is continuing its #NBDDentSquad initiative as part of the National Brush Day awareness campaign. The DentSquad makes oral health education fun with four oral health superheroes: Captain Paste, Doctor Brush, Floss Fury and The Cool Rinse. Families can join the DentSquad by completing coloring sheets and activities and sharing their creations on social media using #NBDDentSquad or uploading them to NationalBrushDay.com for a chance to win one of five $100 Amazon gift cards.

A Continued Focus on Children's Oral Health

Under the leadership of DTA Foundation Board Chair Tim Long, Chief Commercial Officer at A-dec, the Foundation has made children's oral health a special focus, working to help more children build a strong foundation for lifelong oral health.
