DTE Energy Foundation Grant Supports Housing Programs for Veterans and Teen Moms
DETROIT, Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The DTE Energy Foundation announced a $25,000 grant to support the "Bankole Thompson Fund for Veterans and Teen Moms" at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries (DRMM).
The fund supports two DRMM programs. The Veterans Per Diem Program in Highland Park provides transitional housing for veterans while helping them secure permanent housing. DRMM's teen mothers' program at Genesis House 1 provides transitional housing for up to 20 teen mothers and their children. The program helps teen mothers to secure permanent housing, obtain an education and find employment.
