Duet Health Receives Investment from Baird Capital

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Duet Health, a leading mobile healthcare communications company, today announced an investment from Baird Capital.

Duet Health, founded in 2009 in Columbus by Jeff and Ivan Harper, has developed client and strategic partner relationships with Central Ohio organizations such as OhioHealth, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Ohio State and Cardinal Health. They have also worked with regional and national organizations, including Boston Children's Hospital, Brigham and Womens Hospital, The Center for Disease Control (CDC), the FDA and Wolter's Kluwer Health.

Duet's growth is the result of a unique technology platform that puts personalized information into the hands of patients and creates an opportunity for healthcare organizations to engage and interact with patients while gathering valuable insight during the course of care. What started as mobile applications on the iPhone and Android has grown to tens of thousands of patients using tools powered by Duet for a variety of programs. Duet forecasts this to grow to more than 100,000 patients by the end of 2014.

Duet is also working with Dr. Josh Korzenick, one of the country's leading Crohn's and Colitis experts, a professor at the Harvard Medical School and medical leader at Brigham and Women's Hospital, in launching a program that will allow patients to participate in their care and give patients the ability to track and share symptoms with their physician.  Duet is currently working with Nationwide Children's Hospital to track the effectiveness of enhanced education and engagement on patient outcomes.
